The old Journal Gazette building at Main and Clinton streets downtown will be the new home of the Allen County Democratic Party headquarters.
The Allen County Democratic Partyโs headquarters soon will return to downtown Fort Wayne after leaving the cityโs center more than 30 years ago.
The organization will move into its new office in the next few weeks, party chair Derek Camp said Friday. The partyโs new headquarters will be located on the first floor of the old Journal Gazette Building, 701 S. Clinton St., across from the Allen County Courthouse.
The county Democratic Party leases part of a building on the south side of Fort Wayne from Bricklayers Local 4, at 7301 Decatur Road. That location is โnot very centralized or visible,โ Camp said.
