The following is a list of Lands and Town Lots, within said county, delinquent for the non-payment of -----, County and Road taxes, for the year 1844, with the penalty and interest charged thereon; also the taxes for the year 1845; to whom a penalty of two percent will be added if not paid on or before the 25 day of December next. NOTICE is therefore hereby given, that the Land and Town Lots, which have been returned delinquent for the year 1844, by the Treasurer of said county, or so much thereof as will be necessary to satisfy the Taxes, Penalty, and Interest charged thereon, will be sold at the Courthouse, in the town of Fort Wayne, on the first Monday of January next, (being the fifth day of said month) by the Treasurer of said county, at 10 o'clock, A. M. of said day, unless such Taxes, Penalty, and Interest, be paid before that time, and continue from day to day until all are sold. S. S. Morss, Auditor of Allen County

Notice to the Tax Payers of Allen County, Ind.
The following taxes have been assessed for the present year, 1845, on each $100 valuation.
21 cents and 7 mills for State purposes.
50 cents poll tax for State purposes.
35 cents for County purposes.
15 cents for Expense of the Poor.
15 cents on each $100 Town Lots Road purposes.
1¼ cents on each acre of taxable land.

The following Townships have assessed a Township tax in addition to the above:
Wayne Township a tax of 2 cents on the $100 valuation.
St. Joseph Township a tax of 5 cents on the $100 valutaion.
Eel River Township a tax of 6 cents on the $100 valutaion.
Milan Township a tax of 5 cents on the $100 valutaion.
Aboite Township a tax of 15 cents on the $100 valutaion.
Springfield Township a tax of 6 cents on the $100 valutaion.
Cedar Creek Township a tax of 7 cents on the $100 valutaion.
Lake Township a tax of 10 cents on the $100 valuation.
Adams Township a tax of 10 cents on the $100 valuation.
Pleasant Township a tax of 10 cents on the $100 valuation.
Marion Township a tax of $25, no percent.
Jefferson Township a tax of $25, no percent.

The following School Districts have also levied a tax:
Dist. #5 Eel River Township 25 cents on each $100.
Dist. #2 Milan Township 25 cents on each $100.
Dist #3 Aboite Township 25 cents on each $100.
Dist #1 Jefferson Township 25 cents on each $100.
Dist #1 Washington Township 25 cents on each $100.
Dist #2 Cedar Creek Township 25 cents on each $100.
Dist #4 Marion Township 25 cents on each $100.

I or my Deputy will attend at the usual places of holding Elections in the several Townships on the days mentioned as follows:
Wayne Township on Monday 15 Sept 1845.
Washington Township on Tuesday 16 Sept 1845.
Pleasant Township on Wednesday 17 Sept 1845.
Jefferson Township on Thursday 18 Sept 1845.
Aboite Township on Friday 19 Sept 1845.
Adams Township on Saturday 20 Sept 1845.
Lake Township on Monday 15 Sept 1845.
Eel River Township on Tuesday 16 Sept 1845.
Perry Township on Wednesday 17 Sept 1845.
Cedar Creek Township on Thursday 18 Sept 1845.
Springfield Township on Friday 19 Sept 1845.
Scipio Township on Saturday 20 Sept 1845.
Marion Township on Monday 22 Sept 1845.
Madison Township on Tuesday 23 Sept 1845.
Monroe Township on Wednesday 24 Sept 1845.
St. Joseph Township on Monday 22 Sept 1845.
Maumee Township on Tuesday 23 Sept 1845.
Milan Township on Friday 26 Sept 1845.
Those who neglect to pay their taxes at the time the Treasurer or his Deputy shall attend in their Townships will have to settle the same at his office in Fort Wayne where he will attend from the 1st of October 1845 until the 1st day of January 1846 after which time there will be a penalty of ten percent.
